MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - Memphis police have issued an arrest warrant for a suspected jewelry thief that robbed a store in the Oak Court Mall with an unidentified accomplice last month.
The robbery occurred just before 8:30 p.m. on August 15 at Zales Jewelry. Police say the two suspects posed as customers and asked to look at engagement rings. When the store clerk opened the jewelry case, the suspects sprayed her with pepper spray, pushed her aside and grabbed six diamond rings. They were last seen leaving the mall in a Chevrolet Impala with no tags.
One suspect has been identified as 24-year-old Rodney Saulsberry. Investigators still need the public's help identifying the second suspect, described as a black male, 6'1", 220 lbs, and bald.
