MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - The Marshall County Sheriff's office has issued arrest warrants for two suspects wanted in a deadly drive-by shooting on Christmas morning.
22-year-old Rico R. Fleming of Moscow, Tenn., and 31-year-old Cory Albright, of Rossville, Miss. are wanted for shooting at a vehicle along U.S. Highway 72 around 2:30am near Slayden, Mississippi. They are each wanted for one count of murder and five counts of drive-by shooting. 16-year-old Derica Patterson, a junior at Sheffield High School in Memphis, was killed; three others in the car were injured.
Fleming and Albright could possibly be in a green Honda Accord, the same vehicle described from the shooting. Marshall County Sheriff's chief investigator Kelly McMillen said authorities believe the two men are in the Memphis area. He said Marshall County is being assisted by local police and federal authorities.
Patterson was returning to Memphis from a concert in Holly Springs with her brother and his friends when the shooting occurred. A vigil is planned for Derica Patterson at 3:00pm on Dec. 27 at Sheffield High School.
