MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - A reported fight between relatives in southwest Memphis has landed a second man behind bars for filing a false police report.

Domestic violence assault charges were dropped against Clyde Wordlaw, but he remains in jail on two outstanding felony drug warrants.

Wordlaw's uncle, 51-year-old Clifton Hudson, is charged with false reporting.

It started late Sunday night on June 17 at the home on the 3300-block of Forrester. Police say Hudson claimed Wordlaw attacked him with a pitchfork and then fired shots at him.

Hudson told officers that Wordlaw had barricaded himself inside. After bringing in a TACT unit and hours of waiting, it turns out Wordlaw wasn't at home and was found about a block away.

Police say no one witnessed the attack and Hudson later admitted he called officers for retaliation.
