This could mean we need to do a better job at "Crime Prevention." I don't put a lot of credit in what some of the other cities say they spend or not spend; they all have a way of cooking the books (and we know how that works). So going back two years, and looking ahead one year should give you a ball park figure on what you should budget for these times when a jury is sequestered; just a thought. I think the judges control these situations, right? (THE)

Hard to believe Los Angeles hasn't had a jury locked down since 1995. What are they doing with all the money they didn't throw away for hotels and police overtime?
