MEMPHIS, TN - Corporal Christian Brown, the Marine from Munford who almost died while protecting our freedom celebrated the anniversary of America's freedom in style.

An IED explosion in December left Corporal Brown critically injured, he lost both legs and was touch and go for a while. On this 4th of July he is watching fireworks at the Congressional Club in Washington, D.C. On Tuesday he went tubing with family on the Chesepeake Bay. He, his mother and sister are going on a cruise from Boston to Canada next week. The cruise was a donation from Freedom Alliance.

Brown's still struggling to walk, he's adjusting to his prosthetic legs. He still has therapy several days a week. His mother says he has the right attitude and he is determined to lead a full life.

Abc24.com wished the brave Tennessee Marine a happy 4th of July.
