MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - A Sheffield High School teacher is accused of trying to pay kids for sex. Police say in the past year, he approached at least six different kids as they walked to school.

Police say 24-year-old Darrin Miller traveled around town with a sex toy in his car and simulated an oral sex act, showing kids exactly what he wanted.

Miller is the second teacher arrested at that school this year. Both were arrested on sex-related charges involving students.

Miller was arrested Tuesday, November 15, 2011, and is facing seven felony sex charges and three misdemeanors.

Sheffield teacher April Wade was charged with statutory rape last month after a 17-year-old student reported the pair had been living together for nearly a year. Wade told investigators she simply slept in bed with the kid and they kissed, but nothing else. She is currently out of jail on bond.

Miller is a Theater teacher at Sheffield High School. He is currently suspended without pay pending the outcome of the investigation. We're told none of the victims were his students.

Miller is being held in the Shelby County Jail and is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday morning.

He should enjoy his stay in prison. He won't have to be suckin' on a sex toy, though. I'm sure his cellmate will have a real one for him to use.
