MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - The teen suspect in a drive-by murder in Marshall County, Mississippi on Christmas Day has been charged as an adult.
16-year-old Christopher K. Collins of Rossville, Tennessee is charged with one count of murder and four counts of drive-by shooting. 16-year-old Derica Patterson was killed by gunfire on Highway 72 near Slayden as she was returning to Memphis around 2:30am. Three other people in the car were injured.
Collins is in the custody of the Marshall County Sheriff's Department and is being held on $50,000 bond. A preliminary hearing date is set for Feb. 6th.
31-year-old Corey Albright is also in custody for the incident. 22-year-old Rico Fleming remains at large. Fleming was just added to the TBI's Most Wanted list, and is considered armed and extremely dangerous.
