MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - A 15-year-old boy was arrested after he bragged about robbing a young boy of his jacket to the victim's sister.
The incident occurred on January 27, 2012, while the 13-year-old victim was walking home near Richmond Road and Richmond Place in southeast Shelby County. A white Nissan Pathfinder with four people inside pulled up next to the boy, and one asked how much his jacket was worth. The boy shrugged and kept walking. A 15-year-old boy got out of the car, lifted his shirt to show a gun in his waistband, and demanded the jacket. The boy gave his jacket to the suspect and the group of suspects drove away.
A short time later, the suspects saw a girl they knew and told her about the jacket they stole. The girl, who was the victim's sister, recognized the jacket and the suspects fled. The sister reported the theft and identified the suspects to police.
Investigators arrived at the suspect's home, and his father gave permission to search the teen's room where they found the stolen jacket. The 15-year-old was arrested and charged with Aggravated Robbery, then transported to Juvenile Court.
