MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - A 15-year-old girl was arrested after she accidentally killed the man who handed her a loaded gun.

Memphis police were called to the 4700-block of Summer Avenue near Mendenhall around 11:20 p.m. on Saturday, June 2. When they arrived they found a male victim shot inside a vehicle. Paramedics pronounced the man, later identified as 20-year-old Antonio Jesus Tellez-Garcia, dead on the scene.

Investigators state Tellez-Garcia was sitting in the front passenger seat of a 2003 Chevrolet Impala when he passed a handgun to the 15-year-old girl in the backseat, thinking the gun was not loaded. The girl pulled the trigger, fatally shooting Tellez-Garcia.

The teen was charged with Reckless Homicide and taken to Juvenile Court.

Ha! Legal system degrades so fast, you are still laughing about one fiasco story when another even better arrives… Well, we already have an idiotic drug war that is not tailored to protect minors (they are the main consumers instead) or to help the ailing and addicted (they are criminals to be put in jails), but to defend the true idiots from overdosing themselves. Same scenario will be at play in this situation as well –we will imprison the victims of the convoluted regulations and laws, rather than educate people and establish safe measures for the firearms.

Her first instinct was to pull the trigger? Just another example of the need for firearms education. Just like the moron mom who gave her kid a loaded gun several weeks ago.

So you are saying it's the kids fault that the guy handed her a loaded gun?
