MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - A Cordova teen will spend over two decades behind bars for the sexual assault of a two-year-old family member.
17-year-old James Prindle was sentenced to 22 years in prison for the August 2010 attack on the little girl at their Cordova Creek apartment. Prindle was convicted on charges of Aggravated Sexual Battery, Aggravated Child Abuse, Aggravated Child Neglect and False Reporting in June.
Prindle and two other teens first told Memphis police an intruder raped the child. Police also arrested two brothers, who were then 11 and 13 years old, for the crime. Charges were dropped against the youngest. The older brother pleaded guilty in juvenile court and is free after serving his sentence. Although Prindle was 15 at the time, he was charged as an adult.
