HICKORY WITHE, TN (abc24.com) - After a long week, folks in the Big Bell neighborhood in Fayette County finally have a road to get in and out of the area.

Heavy rain washed out the only bridge to the Hickory Withe subdivision. The Public Works Department worked non-stop to put up the new temporary road.

The access road is only for residents to use until a permanent bridge can be built, which will take up to two weeks.

The county hopes to get federal money to pay for the new bridge.
