There are already millions of idiots walking around with guns, Joseph. Training for gun ownership? They seem to be pretty simple devices. Permits are hardly a deterrent to anyone who really wants a weapon. This wouldn't mean it would be legal for felons to own one.

I'm all for gun rights. I have a permit to carry and I carry everywhere I go that's legal. However I am highly against doing away with permits. They are to some degree a deterant of having a nut job or felon carrying around a weapon. At least there is a training class that is mandatory to get a permit. The last thing I want are millions of IDIOTS and people with no training walking around with guns.

This needs to be done now. The law should be no permit , carry anytime. What is the fear. Our ancestors never had to get a permit, and the constitution doesn't say We need one.

I belive that I as a law abiding citizen should be able to carry a gun anywhere I go to protect myself or my family. If you chose not to that is up to you but don't expect me to come to your aid because you want do it yourself.
