Matthew Whitten Darby was in court Tuesday morning. Deputies escorted him quickly in and out of the courtroom, taking extra security precautions because of the tension surrounding the case.

I want to know why we automatically assume that a crime such as this (allegedly) committed by a white person against a black person is automatically "racially motivated". Assuming it was intentional, perhaps the guy is just extremely cruel and would have hit anyone regardless of the victim's race. There is little doubt that it was a "hit and run", but to automatically assume it was racially motivated is wrong.

so who is saying this was a racially motivated killing ? after reading this article it sounds as though that speculation is coming from the writer of this article ... always trying to start something (shame on you) if you have FACTS state them - otherwise don't try to whip up something that isn't there
