GERMANTOWN, TN (abc24.com) - Three people were taken to the hospital after a driver lost control in Germantown, crashing through two businesses Wednesday afternoon.

The accident happened on Wednesday, September 19 at Poplar Avenue and Exeter Road. The driver of a Honda Civic crashed through both walls of a dry cleaners and into a nail salon.

Two employees and a customer at the nail salon were transported to the hospital, but their current conditions have not been released.

According to police on the scene, the elderly driver of the Honda hit the gas instead of the brakes; after he hit the dry cleaners he tried to brake and hit the gas again. Officers did not state if the driver will be charged.
