MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - "Trayvoning" is a new internet trend where people post pictures of themselves re-enacting the death of Florida teenager Trayvon Martin, with Skittles in one hand, iced tea in the other.

Martin, 17, was shot and killed in February by neighborhood watch captain George Zimmerman. Three months later the case is still a hot topic.

The "Trayvoning" trend has people shaking their heads.

Memphian Kyle Ryan says the pictures of kids posing like murdered teen Trayvon Martin is disgusting. "It's disrespectful," he said. "It's not anything to poke fun at or to play with, it's more of a serious issue."

Arrique Dixon's mindset is that of disbelief that people would find humor in someone being shot to death. "It's wrong, just a disgrace. It's like, terrible, because you're making fun of a person that died."

In fact, everyone who spoke with ABC 24 News failed to see the humor, or the point, behind "Trayvoning."

"That's just ridiculous, it's appalling."

"I think it's very disrespectful to his family."

"Enough is enough, they're really going too far with it."

"It's very despicable to make fun of something like that."

George Zimmerman has been charged with second degree murder for Trayvon Martin's death.

It isn't a joking matter when anyone is killed. It doen't matter what race or creed you are. It isn't funny. We as human beings have lost respect for almost any and everything in this world. It is a same. As older people we need to remember they are our future and we need to start teaching respect again. We are getting older and so are they and things arn't going to change until we start changing them.

It does not matter. They will ALWAYS be offended by something, even minor, insignificant things. Let 'em get offended by something more important; fatherless children, "fathers" with 25-30 spawn, hoopdees with their underwear showing & jeans near their knees, dog-fighters, thieves, etc..... What weak, delicate "people".

Looking this video, seems it was more white teenagers mocking that poor boy. But reality, i talked to a lot of teenagers and they say black teenagers are so stupid. Walk around with their pants hanging down below their ass, getting high, want to be a rap star, steal for what they want, or killing for it, gang thugs, think they are tough when they are really stupid, cool having a rap sheet, black on black crime is ridiculous. This new generation is getting out of hand. Senseless killings. Sad.
