According to Memphis Police Department, a man was involved in a single vehicle accident on I-240 eastbound just east of Getwell Road in Southeast Memphis. The man was driving a gold truck that had overturned. The injured man fled the scene on foot, but was captured by officers a short distance away.
An ambulance was called to the scene and transported the man to The MED in critical condition. It is unknown why he attempted to run away. The investigation is ongoing.
