Two Charged in Deadly Raleigh Robbery

MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - Two suspects have been apprehended in a deadly July 2011 home robbery in the Raleigh area.

19-year-old Michael Holmes and 20-year-old Kevin Montague were both arrested on January 7, 2012. Holmes is accused of breaking into a residence at the Hunter Ridge Apartments on July 9, 2011 and fatally shooting 29-year-old Bari Graham during a robbery attempt. Montague is accused of giving Holmes the gun used in the crime.

Michael Holmes is charged with First Degree Murder and Aggravated Robbery. Montague is charged with Facilitation of First Degree Murder. Both suspects are being held without bond at the Shelby County Jail.

Shelby County Jail is like college for young black Memphis men. It's where they go to get the skills needed to succeed as career criminals, with the added bonus of being reunited with their fathers.
