MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - The Shelby County Health Department has confirmed two more heat-related deaths, making five heat-related deaths this year.

According to the health department, the victims were a 33-year-old man and a 67-year-old woman. In both cases the Medical Examiner ruled that heat was a contributing factor in their deaths.

The male victim was last seen alive on Wednesday, July 25. His wife found him in their backyard when she returned from out of town on Friday, July 27.

The female victim was last seen alive on Tuesday, July 24. Her coworkers became worried after she did not show up for work for two days, and her landlord found her in her apartment on Thursday, July 26. An air conditioning unit was running, but was blowing hot air.
