It amazes me that the MCS Schooll Board voted to surrender their charter becuase they couldn't come to grips with making tough budget decisions. Now that the Unified Board is making those decisions, they want to protest & walk out. If they wanted it their way, they should have kept their MCS Charter. This just echos how ridiculous the MCS Board was.Just like the hold-over that want to change the Shelby County schools name to something including "Memphis". What about all teh othermuninicalities in teh County like Germantown, Colliervile, Bartlett, Lakeland Arlington. Do they not count or are they only good for collecting money from?

Was the trip to Vegas a one last feebe for MCS board, and Where Sara's lawyer? It's my understanding they agreed to outsource, but left open the option to change their minds. Meaning they really didn't decide on anything. A twenty three member school board made up of the old MCS is a joke. Sadly for the children of Shelby County. Maybe their motto should be "Bringing Memphis to the Burbs".

Two thing concern me. One, overheard school board talk in Las Vegas?? Please tell me we didn't pay to send these people to Vegas. Second, even though the Rev. didn't vote to do away with MCS, I don't think that anyone from that board should even be allowed in the room much less sit on the board.
