MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - A father is fighting for his life after he was shot multiple times by two armed robbers in his own home early Friday morning.
Memphis police were called to the 2600-block of Select Avenue around 1:30 a.m. on Friday, August 24. When they arrived, they found a 32-year-old man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to The MED in extremely critical condition.
Investigators say the victim's two children, ages 8 and 9, had just arrived at the home with their mother when they were approached by two armed men. The suspects forced them in the house, demanded money, and shot the male victim several times as they fled the scene. Nobody else was injured.
Both suspects are described as black males in their early 20's with dark complexions. One suspect is approximately 5'4" and the second suspect is 5'11".
