MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - Family and friends will remember a woman whose death shocked many throughout the Mid-South. A'riel Labelle fell overboard on a cruise ship two weeks ago; her body was never found.

Just before boarding the ship, Labelle took to her twitter account and said, "Lord keep us safe on this gigantic cruise ship... Let the festivities begin."

Surveillance video recorded a woman going overboard. Sources say Labelle had been drinking before falling off the ship. She hit another passenger on a lower deck during her fall into the ocean about 50 miles east of Fort Lauderdale.

U.S. Coast Guard crews searched more than 2,000 square miles for Labelle over a period of two days but never found her. The Coast Guard now considers Labelle lost at sea.

The 21-year-old Bartlett resident was an aspiring model.

A vigil for Labelle will be held at Oak Grove Baptist Church on Tuesday, October 2 at 6 p.m.
