Warehouse Fire in Southwest Memphis

Memphis Fire Department firefighters responded to a warehouse fire near South Third and East Mallory Avenue in Southwest Memphis around 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 16th.

According to the MFD, the offices and loading dock of the warehouse caught on fire. The fire eventually came through the roof of the structure. MFD contained the fire and brought it under control by 6:00 p.m.

A company that makes shipping pallets, Freightways Express, owns the warehouse. 

There were no company personnel present at the time of the fire and no civilians were injured.

One firefighter was transported to Methodist University Hospital in non-critical condition for dehydration.
