JACKSON, Miss. (AP, abc24.com) - U.S. Sen. Roger Wicker has won the Republican nomination for the U.S. Senate, beating E. Allen Hathcock of Stewart and Robert Maloney of Madison

Wicker, 60, seeks his first full six-year term as a Senator.

In the Democratic primary, Albert N. Gore Jr. of Starkville defeated Will Oatis of Silver Creek and Roger Weiner of Clarksdale.

Also on November's general election ballot are Thomas Cramer of the Constitution Party and Shawn O'Hara of the Reform Party

Wicker was appointed to the Senate by Haley Barbour in 2007. He served in the U.S. House from 1995 to 2007 and was a state senator for seven years before that

The only candidate who filed a campaign finance report, Wicker had raised $2.1 million as of Feb. 22.
