FORREST CITY, AR (abc24.com) - A Forrest City, Arkansas woman is behind bars, accused of throwing acid on the face of her ex-boyfriend.
Police say on May 17, 43-year-old Erma Broyles went to the house of her ex-boyfriend, 47-year-old Michael Hamilton, to bring back his television. When Hamilton opened the door, Broyles reportedly threw a liquid on his face and body. His skin began burning, and he went to the Forrest City Medical Center ER.
Doctors stated that some type of household acid had been used, severely burning Hamilton and requiring ongoing medical treatment.
Police issued an arrest warrant for Erma Broyles and took her into custody without incident on May 23. She is charged with Domestic Battery 2nd Degree.
