MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - A woman was arrested after filing a harassment report with Memphis police against a man she claimed was her ex-fiance.
According to police records, 23-year-old Tiffany Callicutt filed a report at the MPD Domestic Violence office on March 13 that a man had been calling and harassing her and her family. Callicutt claimed she had been involved with the man for over a year and were engaged at one point. She added that he also bought her a car and rented her an apartment.
When investigators questioned family members about the harassment, they stated they did not even know who the man was or about any said involvement with Callicutt. Officers were unable to find any evidence of the harassing calls on phone records, or that the man bought Callicutt's car. Upon questioning, the man denied any kind of relationship with Callicutt, ever.
After changing her story several times without any means to back up her claims, Tiffany Callicutt was arrested and charged with filing a false report. She was booked at the Shelby County Jail on $2,500 bond.
