Woman, Young Girl Shot during Home Invasion Robbery

MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - A woman and a 10-year-old girl were shot after two robbery suspects forced their way into their Fox Meadows area apartment.

The incident occurred around 11:15 p.m. on April 2 at The Crossing at Fox Meadows apartment complex near Mt Moriah Road and Hickory Hill Road. Memphis police say two suspects entered the home and forced everyone on the floor. One suspect was armed with a handgun. After the suspects took cash and left through the front door, one victim got up to close the door; the armed suspect fired several shots into the home, hitting two victims.

A 35-year-old woman was taken to The MED in non-critical condition. A 10-year-old girl was transported to Le Bonheur Children's Hospital in critical condition. There were six other people at the home at the time of the robbery that were not injured.

One suspect is described as a black male between 18-25 years old, 5'8", 150 lbs, and last seen wearing a red shirt and long blue jean shorts. The other suspect is described as a black male 6', 180 lbs, last seen wearing a white hat, t-shirt and blue jeans.

This is where the stand your ground law would work abundantly well. If homeowners shot more of these scum maybe they would get the message.

Already stole their stuff, were you just shooting at them for fun? You two are not human. There is a special place in hell for people who shoot children.
