Women with Animals in U-Haul Out on Bond

Two women pulled over in Fayette County with over 140 animals in a U-Haul are now free on bond, and have forfeited custody of the animals.

So, if these ladies had been left alone, these dogs would be getting adopted right now. Instead, this has turned into a huge fiasco that is surely costing tons of tax dollars.

Why were these women kept in jail for a week before being released on bond? If it's cruel to pack animals in cages, why were these women caged as punishment - WITHOUT A TRIAL TO PROVE THEY WERE GUILTY? It's ok for the government to cage humans I guess....
