WYNNE, AR (abc24.com) - Residents in a Wynne, Arkansas neighborhood say their neighborhood looked like a war zone after a shooting Saturday, September 8. Five people were injured when a man opened fire on a crowd. Nobody was seriously injured.

Residents say gangs have taken over Deshay Park in the neighborhood and police don't seem to care. Wynne resident Maurice Greer told abc24.com, "They're not trying to curb any type of gang violence… This gang violence has gotten out of hand."

Veronica Collins, a mother of four, noted, "Every night I'm hearing gun shots and then me and my kids are taking cover. I'm tired of it." She says gang members are to blame for the violence.

Greer thinks Police could do more to curb the growing gang problem but he admitted, "Extra patrol is not gonna do it by itself. We as adults we have to talk to our youth."

Sorry Mr. Greer, I know you mean well, but talking to your youth is not going to do a thing. Hire Blackwater USA for 1 year. Probably more like a couple of months for a town that small. Problem solved.
