MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - A man accused of stealing an Xbox video game system from a home in the Chickasaw Gardens area of Memphis on Tuesday, October 4, 2011, also had stolen guns and marijuana on him when he was arrested.
An affidavit says 26-year-old Steven Kissinger was arrested after police briefly chased him on foot in the 1300 block of Oakridge Drive. A witness called police and said he saw Kissinger break a window at the back of a home in the neighborhood and go inside.
When police arrived on the scene, they saw Kissinger and pulled over. Kissinger took off running and ditched a back pack and gun before trying to jump a fence. Police were able to arrest him as he was trying to climb the fence.
When they searched him, police found ammunition and a rolled marijuana blunt on Kissinger and a holster, gun and Xbox in the back pack he tried to ditch.
Kissinger was positively identified by the witness who initially called police.
Kissinger has been charged with aggravated burglary, evading arrest and unlawful possession of a weapon.
