MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - A six-year-old girl is recovering from second-degree burns after an early morning house fire near the Rhodes College area.
Memphis Firefighters were called to a house fire on the 700-block of Spring Street just after 3:00am on December 27, 2011. The fire was brought under control within about 15 minutes, and the little girl was transported to Le Bonheur Children's Hospital in stable condition for burns to her legs. No other injuries were reported.
A faulty heater in the hallway is what caused the fire. The home did have a working smoke detector.
