MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - The Shelby County Sheriff's Office says a 14-year-old boy was arrested for carjacking a Chinese food delivery driver Tuesday night.

Deputies were called to the 6500-block of Bartonwood Cove in southeast Shelby County just after 10 p.m. on Tuesday, August 21. When they arrived on the scene, the victim told investigators he was making a delivery when one suspect approached him while two other suspects came behind him and pointed a gun to his head.

The victim was robbed at gunpoint and his vehicle was stolen by the suspects. While deputies were still on the scene with the victim, the suspects crashed the stolen car at Highway 302 and Pecan View as they were pursued by Olive Branch police.

The 14-year-old driver of the vehicle was taken into custody at the scene of the accident by Olive Branch police. The teen suspect has been charged with Felony Fleeing, but further charges and arrests are likely.
