I live in a community in a bordering state where animals have been taken from their homes by two individuals matching their description in a similar truck. I have had friends whose pets are not at home because they were stolen while their owners were at work. I'm not suggesting that this is the same scenario, but I applaud authorities for digging deeper when the story doesn't add up. People interested in the welfare of animals do NOT cram them into crates in unventilated vehicles and allow this existence. These animals were mistreated and malnurished in a manner that is unacceptable.

LOL ReligionStinks, you're funny! I don't know where you are from but you apparently DO know Memphis! Golden Taint, it is wrong to knowingly cause pain and suffering to ANY living creature.

I was just trying to prvide a different perspective. Let me try again. I'll make a deal with you ReligionStinks, if you commit suicide, then I'll adopt/rescue another dog and name it after you. The balls in your court now. . . I hope you do the "right" thing.

Sadly, they are probably WORSE off being stuck in a right wing dump such as Tennessee, and even worse if they end up in the third world enclave of Memphis. Golden Taint, get a grip. Dogs are man's best friend. The lives of one of these mistreated dogs are probably 1000 times more important than your apparently miserable one. You probably beat dogs and torture cats.

It's sad and it's wrong, but I think a lot of folks forget that dogs aren't people. I like animals just as much, if not more, than the next person but the line needs to be drawn somewhere. All you bleeding-heart-hippies need to relax a little and put things into perspective. One dog died. . . big freakin deal. There were probably half a dozen people murdered in Memphis yesterday. If you all care so much about animals, then how come you aren't all out protesting the butchering of pigs and cows, instead of eating them for lunch? All 128 of them doggies aren't worth 1 human life.

yes, bring them to Memphis so they all can die from being treated the way they are now and if there is any pit bulls in the 127 dogs someone here will take them to dog fights. How does anyone know if these two ladys buys water on the way to Virginia. Do you think and I would love to see it happen, can drink water and eat while going down the road. Common sense here... does anyone have any here? I am not defending these two ladies but I would have to stop and give them water while I am not driving down the road. "splish splash" (common sense here) Why have the water with you when you can buy it on the way, less things to have to have packed somewhere.

It dont matter if they are with a rescue or not the poor animals should not have been locked in the back of a U-Haul truck with no food or water... I think they should get animal creulty charges for all 128 animals an more charges for the dead dog that didn deserve to lose its life

Hey dogrescuer... i DO know all the facts and you are out of your mind! And when all the facts come out to the public, you will want to remove your post! Trust me. How can you defend these women in any way? No water for two days, a dead dog for Christ sake! And many more would have been dead before they arrived at their destination. Come on, WAKE UP! What they did to these dogs reminds me of what the Nazi's did to the Jews by cramming them in trains with no food and water. It's disgusting and shame on you for defending them!

You don't know all the facts, I do. These women are highly respected in the SoCal dog rescue community. They have literally dedicated their lives to helping animals and are personally responsible for placing thousands of animals into loving homes. The media reports are blown out of proportion with an out of context slant. We support these two selfless women and hope you will too!
