Multiple Law Agencies Investigating Burned Body

JACKSON, TN (abc24.com) - Multiple law enforcement agencies in West Tennessee are investigating a body found burned beyond recognition in Madison County.

The body was found on Most Road near Huntersville around 2:30pm on Friday, February 17, 2012. The Madison County Sheriff's Office, Jackson Police Department, Tennessee Highway Patrol, Memphis Police Department, Shelby County Sheriff's Office, Bartlett Police Department and the FBI are all assisting in the investigation.

Bartlett Police are investigating a missing persons case on Charles Jones, a former Memphis Police officer who was last seen by his wife on the morning of Feb. 16, but Bartlett investigators have not confirmed that the body found is Jones.
