Tampa, FL (Sports Network) - The Tampa Bay Buccaneers placed wide receiver Arrelious Benn on injured reserve Thursday, ending his season.

The third-year-pro has suffered through various injuries this season, including shoulder and knee problems, that have limited him to just eight games, including one start.

During that time, he has posted just four catches for 26 yards and has added 13 kick returns for 306 yards.

A second-round pick of Tampa Bay in 2010, he has totaled 59 catches for 862 yards and five scores in 37 games.

To take his spot on the roster, the team signed wide receiver David Douglas off the New York Giants' practice squad.
